8-21-11

Theres a momentum that builds and every prayer you pray is answered. Some people don't understand the concept of God not answering their prayers because God answers all of their prayers.

Psalm 24

God is not attracted to need, He is attracted to faith. We need other Christians to build us up and encourage one another. The body helps us lift our heads up to Him. Praise God anyways even when you don't think it is a good time.

Through God all things are possible even if you think it is impossible. Don't forget what God tells you.

Psalm 1:45
Proverbs 15
Isaiah 65:4
Jerimiah 29

Hope in the Kingdom is a different type of hope outside of the Kingdom. Hope for the believer is a guarantee future.

Matthew 7
Matthew 18
Matthew 21
Mark 11
John 14
John 15

There is something linking theses verses together. These are promises to the believers. Faith is His constant love is what God wants instead of just prayer. Ask and it shall be given to you.

Mark 15
John 16
James 5
1John 5
Hebrews 4

Find out what pleases the Lord because His will isn't always automatic, because some people go to Hell and that was never God's will. His will is to have no one perish.

1 Kings 18
Be thankful for your clouds that come.

Matthew 14
What will happen(like breakthroughs) has already happened in Heaven in full force than on Earth.

Faith takes risks.

*Proven*

For something to be proven, it has to go through a test and if it passes it is genuine.

Read-James 1:2-4

The theme is about trials/ tests in the verses which is what the sermon is about today.
Read- Acts 14:22

We must go through much "pressure to enter into the Kingdom of God. There is pressure in the pressing into the Kingdom. Your faith is fulfilled when you are face to face with God. Where the King is, is where the Kingdom is. His kingdom is in you.

Read- 1 Peter 1:6-9

Trials are here so our faith can be proven. When it is proven there is praise. But we have to push through those trials.

Read- 1 Peter 4:12-16

Don't be ashamed of Jesus cause he isn't ashamed of you. We should confess Jesus' name, Heaven take notice when we do. Those things that try to resist you growing into a greater Christian will put pressure on you.
It can be any type or level of persecution or temptation of the devil that keeps you resisting. It can also be spiritual issues and prayer life that need help. Mostly trials though.

Read- John 16:33

Jesus has overcome the world and can control it and your trials.

When you assess something you name what it is.

Count it pure joy whenever you face trials of many types. In God's presence there is pure joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength. Joy comes from God and makes us think of good things. These verses don't change that joy into any other type. When we are going through a trial, even when we don't feel joy, act like you are joyful. Count trials as pure joy when you go through them.

Your faith will grow stronger. Faith had to do with trust. We don't go through the trials, our faith does. Our faith/trust in God is put to the test, not us. Resistance builds muscles and we need resistance for our faith to grow stronger.
If you want a break through and you go to random places and things to fix your problems your going to miss it. Cause God is the true source.

Lacking Wisdom

We are human. We have human emotions and human everything. When we are in trials our human reaction is to ask questions. If we ask for wisdom from God, He gives it to us. Wisdom is looking at life situations from God's perspective. We need God to wake us up and show what true wisdom is. God doesn't judge you he understands our humanity because he created us. So when we ask for wisdom he give it to us even if we feel unworthy because he wants us to see in his perspective.
What is?

Faith-  Faith says, "YES!" When God shows us something we say, "YES!"
Unbelief- Unbelief says, "NO!"  When God shows us something we say, "NO!"
Doubt- Doubt says, "Yes, no, yes, no, yes, no, etc." When God shows us something we say, "Yes, no, yes, no, etc."

When we seek God with doubt we will end up with faith. When we seek wisdom our belief/faith is being tested. A man with two heads is unstable in all he does. Like doubt. We need the "YES" side of faith.

Read- James 1:12

It is best to go through a storm straight into it than going around because the ride is shorter. When your in a tunnel and your headlights are out, rely on the last thing God has said to you. Don't take your eyes off Jesus during your trial. He will guide you and at the end you have conquered the trial.
Your trial is about you using your life to praise God.

The enemy tries to kill, steal, and to destroy you but God has a different plan for you. If you keep your eyes on Him, He will give you great blessings for the sake of His Kingdom.

Read- Psalm 63-1

THIRSTY

Have you been in a weary place? Where your resources have dried up? Where everything with life has been cut off?

David turns to God in that place and is reminded that God is his Almighty God. We need to know who He is. Don't ever forget that.

David is seeking God. He isn't waiting for somebody else to. David wants a breakthrough. But he isn't waiting around for someone else to.

If you have a breakthrough at church and there is a draft that pulls others in. Don't wait for others to go out and seek him and you be the one who begins the breakthroughs. Don't be shy.

Only we can encourage the thirst and hunger for God. If we want to be satisfied then we need to remember that God is their God. If you forget that then you will find something else to quench your thirst and that usually isn't a good thing.

It is a lie when Satan tells you that God has forgotten about you. He wants you to turn away from God. He is the true source of true life.

Read- Psalms 63:2

When you have had such an encounter that you have seen the power of God you can take strength from that moment and use it all of your life. You can reflect on your testimony and feel His power. You can feel something in your spirit when you or someone else tells their testimony.

When God has shown you things you need to hold on to them because He has given you promises.

Read- Acts 2:43

"Everyone was filled with awe"

We over use the word "awe".
When God touches you and your heart, you are filling with awe. We are so awestruck when He touches us. He is so awesome. Awe is meant to be used as a term for worship.

Read- Psalm 63:3

When you see His glory you speak of it.

The relationship between God and you is greater than life it self.

When you need to confess, do so to the God at the cross then you will confess out of your mouth the amazing wonderful works of God. Praise God in His name all the time even in the worse times. Your heart will be filled with great riches but not worldly ones when you do so.

God is so good but we should have faith in that even when the world is crashing down.

Read- Psalms 63:6

Sometimes we are sprayed with spiritual amnesia. Then we snap out of it with a word or praise to God. Then you know that God is your God.

Sometimes we are so busy that we can't hear God. The last thing you should do before you go to sleep you should think of God. God could meet us in out sleep and even God can have your dreams reflect on what God wants to do.

The shadow of God's wings can be found anywhere you seek His face.

Find the shadow and sing even if you have no music or if your alone or if you sing awfully, it will still be beautiful to God's ears. Singing when it is dry and weary helps quench the thirst. If you don't feel anything when your singing God still deserves the worship. When it isn't dry still praise God.

7-31-11

Read- Acts 4:29-10

Royal- pertaining or belonging to a King, or related, or serving, or under the King

Every child of God needs to be royal.

Read- 1 Samuel 13: 13-14

What does it mean to be after God's own heart?

What you seek, your will find. Cause if your after God's heart you WILL receive it from Him.

If you have a heart for whatever you want to do, carry God's heart into it. Whatever you do, do it in the name of the Lord. He WANTS to give you His heart. But you have to meet Him half way.

Read- 1 Samuel 16
He actually finds David and anoints him king.

DEFINING YOUR ROYAL IDENTITY

God's well come with your royal identity.

Read- 1 Samuel 17
(the story of David and Goliath)

The enemy is after your own resources.

He is after God's harvest. And also your future.

If he takes your worship, he steals everything else.

Sometimes we are paralyzed because of the enemy's taunting that hurts and may even scare us.

The devil wants to prevent you from your future and worshiping God. He absolutely despises it.

David before he was kind worshiped God all the time. He lived for the worship and God's presence.

When the enemy comes and tells us lies we normally ignore it. But time and time again we start to believe it as he keeps saying the lies over and over again.

Your turn around day could be any normal day like David's was.

He lived out a life of worship and service. All he seeked was His presence.

David saw things in a different perspective. If you are like that don't be afraid to stand out.

Sometimes the people closest to us don't understand what God wants us to do or wants to happen.

Don't let others, especially brothers and sisters in Christ, get in your way of God's plan. Don't be intimidated as David was with his older brother.

When we relate to the great works of God something amazing strucks the minds of others.

If you have confidence in God, whatever it was/is WILL happen if you are after God's heart.

We are called to do things in the name of our God and the name of Jesus.

We represent Heaven because of our royal identity.

The battle belongs to God and so does the victory.

Why did David have so much confidence?
Because he was a worshiper of Jesus Christ.

Don't let the enemy's taunting be the last words. Strike back with a praise to God.

Don't run away from the enemy, get right into his face and speak the purposes of God.

1 single victory on an ordinary day can change your life around. And your victory can encourage others to win over their own.

Your own testimony impacts others in some way.

Read- 1 Samuel 16

Samuel did not sit down till the men/women after God's own heart came into the room.

The congregation of the church will not sit down till the generation after God's heart comes.
