True Meanings of Halloween

Sorry it’s so long. But please read it. Pass this along if you agree.
Skulls of ancestors are worshiped in order to establish connections with the spirits of the dead. The head or its parts, each of which may stand for the whole, can be used as magical food or as a means of increasing the fertility of the soil. Skeleton means- “Symbol of death, often with crossed bones beneath.” A pagan practice that was not eradicated upon the coming of Christianity was witchcraft. The word "witch" comes from the Anglo-Saxon Wicca, or "wise one." Witches were thought to be possessors of magic. Witches, who worship the deities of nature, have living talismans or symbols through which they derive their dark powers. The broomstick is a symbol of the male organ, on which the witch mounts and leaps high around the fields to "teach" the crops how high to grow. The notion of flying witches relates to the fact that witches believed they could fly great distances to their feasts by smearing their bodies with ointments containing drugs. The drugs gave them psychedelic "trips" making them think they flew. Witchcraft is demonic worship in diametric opposition to the worship of the Heavenly Father Yahweh. Yahweh minces no words about it. He told Israel through Moses, "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" (Ex. 22:18). He says in Deuteronomy 18:10, "There shall not be found among you any one that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.” The black cat particularly was connected to demonic powers. Black cats are the chief idol of the goddess of Wicca, Diana. In legend, she turns into a black cat to commit incest with her brother, Lucifer. Witch hunting during Halloween became almost a national pastime in the colonial years of our nation. But that was yesterday. Halloween is regarded as the high "Sabbath" for practicing witches today. Orange, black, and red, the devil's colors, are the colors associated with Halloween. Black prefigures black magic and demonic influence. The black of night is when these forces of evil are busiest, using the cover of darkness for their sinister works.
Halloween, All saints day, All hallows eve or All souls day is a festival. It was held to honor the Samhain the so called "lord of death. They called together the wicked spirits that within the past 12 months had been condemned to inhabit the bodies of animals. It was a pagan belief that on one night of the year the souls of the dead return to their original homes, there to be entertained with food. If food and shelter were not provided, these evil spirits would cast spells and cause havoc toward those failing to fulfill their requests. Sacrifices were offered on this night to the dead spirits because it was thought they visited their earthly dwellings and former friends. The souls of wandering spirits were in the habit of haunting the living...But there were means by which ghosts might be exorcised. To exorcise these ghosts, that is to free yourself from their evil sway, you would have to set out food and provide shelter for them during the night. If they were satisfied with your offerings, they would leave you in peace. If not, they were believed to cast an evil spell on you .In modern day Satanism and Witchcraft covens, this is the day when Satan himself comes to "fellowship" with his followers. Many changes have occurred over the centuries, but one thing has stayed the same, the practice of giving an "offering". Oh we do it under the name of fun but what is the real meaning? Is it still the same as in the old days? I say the answer is YES. The souling practice(two bonfires side my side and walking through them) of commemorating the souls in purgatory with candle lanterns carved from turnips, became adapted into the making of jack-o'-lanterns. In traditional Celtic Halloween festivals, large turnips were hollowed out, carved with faces, and placed in windows to ward off evil spirits. In North America where pumpkins are both readily available and much larger– making them easier to carve than turnips. The fearsome face of the jack-o-lantern was representative of the god of the dead, Shamin, who would drive off less powerful evil spirits abroad that night. They would use the jack-o-lanterns by placing the jack-o-lantern on posts and in windows to ward off the spirits of the dead on Halloween. The word jack-o-Lantern is an abbreviation of "Jack of the Lantern." Jack is another name for joker or Satan. In the Irish tale, a man named Jack was fond of playing tricks on the devil. Annoyed, the devil tossed Jack a burning coal from hell. With the coal in his "lantern" Jack was condemned to walk the earth forever searching for rest. The jack-o-lantern is a Halloween idol that keeps alive an ancient symbol of demonic superstition. Trick-or-treating resembles the late medieval practice of souling, when poor folk would go door to door on Hallowmas (November 1), receiving food in return for prayers for the dead on All Souls Day (November 2).
Jesus brought light into the world. He came that we might have eternal life. Most Christians whole-heartily embrace these Scriptural facts. Yet, once a year, many of them turn their focus to Satan and his kingdom, all the while denying that it really actually means anything. However, Halloween is not an innocent holiday. It is taken very seriously by those of the Celtic (including Wicca) religion and is considered one of their most holy days. The problem is that Satan has worked very hard to get the rest of us — especially Christians — to think that Halloween is really harmless. In fact, part of the work of Satan has been to convince the world that he does not exist. By doing so, satanic rituals, such as the celebration of Samhain(Halloween), are seen as not being real. When Christianity and the world celebrates the Festival of Samhain and the powers of darkness by masquerading as evil creatures or decorating their homes, schools, businesses, and churches with occult symbols, Satanic power is glorified. The deception of the celebration of Halloween is so subtle it is hard to see it as demonic and evil. After all, it is just some children dressing up as monsters, witches, etc. and going door-to-door "trick or treating", right? Is there any real harm in it? This is the same thing as the reading of horoscopes. Most people think it is just foolishness anyway, so why not do it? Is it just foolishness? Does God really care if we celebrate Halloween (or read horoscopes)? He hates it, for those things are detestable to him. God declared to Israel, "I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you will have fortunetellers no more" “Let us not enter into the ways of the world for Jesus said his followers were to be no part of the world.” Can we see Jesus and the apostles going "trick or treating" (if it had been in existence at the time)? Or maybe Jesus passing out treats at the door to the little children that were dressed up as his enemy, the devil? I don't think so. Why, then, would the followers of Jesus do it?” Is Halloween a TRICK or TREAT? Most absolutely a TRICK. It is Satan's objective to get all to worship him. God tells us to not have anything to do with this. Peter I 5:8- Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.1Thessalonians 5:22- Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1Timothy 4:1- Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons. If you are a professing Christian, you have no reason to be part of this “holy day” of Satan. Don't use the old cop out "well everybody does it". No everybody is not doing it. God will hold you responsible for what you do this Halloween. Will you go ahead and participate in it? Or will you pass along the word and let someone know what the real meaning is.

My Christian Philosophy

Everyone believes in something from where rain comes from to faith. Faith plays a major role in belief. Believing and having faith has always got to do with religion. There are lots of different types of religion that each have their differences. One of the most popular religions today is the Christian faith. I will discuss my Christian Philosophy by reviewing what I believe and why I believe it.
I believe that everything happens for a reason. That there is a big and powerful Someone who has everything in control and guides every step that is ever taken. I believe that this Someone is God. He created the universe for a purpose and everything that God does has a reason to it. God, I believe, has an ultimate plan and everyone has their own part in it. Therefore, that makes life have a meaning. It is never fair to live a life with no purpose and meaning. I wouldn’t think so. I believe that God created every human being in His own image. He wants us to be just like His son Jesus.
Now I am brought to my next point; Jesus. I believe that God sent His son to die for us on the cross to save us from all of our sins. Jesus came to earth as a baby and was perfect ever since. He never made a mistake and paid the price for it on the cross one day. Jesus has the most ultimate love that anyone can ever have. He loves every one like we are his children and we are. After Jesus died he rose again after the third day. Then he ascended into heaven after visiting his disciples but he didn’t leave them and his other followers alone. He left the Holy Spirit living in their hearts to guide and protect them and the followers of Christ(Christians).
Why do I believe in this, you ask? One is reason is because it gives me hope. There isn’t many things that give me hope here on Earth. If I didn’t have God I would be very frantic. Christianity gives everyone hope that they will be protected in the future. Followers don’t have to worry about what is up ahead because God already knows and He protects us. He knows are every move now and in the future. I believe that I don’t ever have to worry about tomorrow because I know that God has me protected in His hands.
Another reason as of why I believe is because I know that it is the truth and the truth makes sense. I know that everything in the Bible is true because you can look at history and see that what the Bible says is true. Everything in the Bible that has happened in the past can be proved correct. Also, the philosophy makes life and everything else make sense. No one can prove or completely comprehend the Big Bang Theory and how the little “speck” of nothing exploded into everything. The flood that happened in the book of Genesis can be proved by looking at cannons and finding fish fossils on mountains. Everything in the Bible can be proved true. Why not believe it?
What I believe and why I believe my Christian Philosophy is because it gives me a purpose. I believe that everything happens for a reason. I believe that God sent His son to die for us on the cross to save us from all of our sins. A reason why I believe this is because it gives me hope and a purpose. I believe my Christian philosophy because it is true and can be proven. It makes life have more sense to it than the Big Bang Theory. Christianity isn’t just a religion, it is a lifestyle.

What You Put In Your Ears

One of your most important senses that you have is hearing. There are so many sounds and noises that you can hear. Music, nature, friends, and videos all have sounds and can have an influence on you. It is important to watch what you hear because what you put into your ears influences who you are and what you think .We will discuss what you put in your ears by what you shouldn’t put in your ears, why you shouldn’t, what you should put in your ears, and why.
God wants us to be careful about what we put in our ears. Music is one of the most important things. Satan, before he was kicked out of heaven, was the music leader in heaven. He was in charge of everything musical in heaven. It is pretty obvious why music today can be so bad. When you listen to music that has a negative influence on you it starts to get inside your head and change your normal way of thinking. When people start talking or gossiping about other people, the things they say can be pretty hurtful and awful. You need to make sure you don’t tune in are participate in the drug or sex talk that goes around. If you stay around those people your mind will start dipping in the gutter and make your mind start thinking the sick and twisted ways.
You should not listen to music or gossip about things that should not be said or heard. God doesn’t want your mind to be focused on worldly things. He wants you to be focused on Him. When you listen to the lies and you hear them over and over again you start believing them. The devil likes to whisper lies in our ears. He will constantly tell you again and again. If you don’t do something about it you will start to believe or think differently. Don’t let things get into your ears and mind because they will take your focus off of God and make you start thinking in a way that you weren’t.
There are certain things that you should listen to. Christian and worship music is one of the best things out there to listen to because it gives you a positive outlook and encourages you. Instead of listening to music that gets you down and says things you normally wouldn’t say; listen to encouraging and uplifting music that also praises the Lord. Also, surround yourself with friends that talk about good and encouraging things. Not the gossip about who did what and when. Talk about fun and clean topics instead. Before you say something think to yourself would Jesus say this? Then make your decision whether you should say it or not.
When you talk about and listen to encouraging things, it helps you stay focused on God. It also fills your spirit with good-natured things. It is better to have a nice clean and tidy room then to have a room full of old pizza and dirty clothes. Why not keep your spirit and mind clean and tidy? The things that you say reflect on what you think about. What you think about has to do with what you hear and listen to. Do you want your mind set to be all about the junk you hear on TV or in some of today’s music? I don’t think so. God wants your focus on Him and if you fill your mind with these things then your focus will be in the total opposite direction.
The things you put is your ears can be discussed by what you shouldn’t put in your ears, why you shouldn’t, what you should, and the benefit of it. God wants us to be careful about what we put in our ears. You should not listen to music or gossip about things that should not be said or heard. God doesn’t want your mind to be focused on worldly things. There are certain things that you should listen to. Christian and worship music is one of the best things out there to listen to because it gives you a positive outlook and encourages you. When you talk about and listen to encouraging things, it helps you stay focused on God. It also fills your spirit with good-natured things. Everyone says not to stick things in your ears so why do we stick things that are wrong into our ears through bad music and gossip? Wouldn’t it just hurt more?

The Difference of Whether We Were Created or Evolved

The Difference of Whether We Were Created or Evolved

Everyone has different beliefs and opinions. People have different religions and advice that they have on certain subjects. One subject is how we were created and everyone has their own opinion on it. Some people believe that we evolved and other people believe that we were created. We will explain the difference it makes whether we were created or evolved by discussing creation, evolution, the difference of God or no God, the difference to which scientific facts support which theory most, and why evolution is so confusing.
Creation begins with God and nothing else. God created the Universe in seven days and on the first day He created light. On the second day He created water upon the earth and it's sky. Then on the third day God had dry land appear and He put vegetation on it. God created lights in the expanse on the fourth day and on the fifth day He created birds and fish that live in the sky and waters. Man and animals were created on the sixth day and on the seventh God rested. God created man to rule the earth and above everything thing on the earth. Man sinned and sin came into the world and messed it up from it's perfect state. God created man to follow God and worship and serve Him. If God didn't create us then we would have no purpose.
Evolution begins with nothing but a little speck of nothing as big as a period at the end of this sentence. Then all of a sudden that speck exploded and atoms and matter were born. After a couple millions of years something hit the sun that was created a couple million years ago and part of the sun turned into the earth. Later after millions of years single celled organisms started to form and evolve and after even more millions of years became man. A process like this has to take so much time. This theory states that everything eventually evolved after so many millions of years and everything is still evolving. Although the problem with this theory (note that I say theory because this has not been 100% proven) is that no none knows where the speck came from and what caused it to explode. Another problem is, how did all of this come from nothing?
We will now discuss one of the difference between creation and evolution which is God. If God did create the universe He wouldn't have created it by using something like evolution. Plus it would also mean that the Bible is wrong in Genesis and God says that the Bible is 100% true. Therefore God would not have created the universe by something like evolution and He created it by using only His words. If God did not create the universe and if He did not exist and if we were created by evolution that would mean that there is no purpose to our lives. There would be no right and wrong, law and order, and everything would be completely confusing. Nothing would matter because there would be no purpose to us. Yet again do I mention how did the little speck get there all those “millions” of years ago?
Another difference between the two is what the scientific facts (when 100% true)
say in support to them. Science says that evolution is a theory yet they teach it in schools like it is a fact. The Bible says that everything in it is true and it doesn't change like the evolution theory does. Now again I mention that no one knows or would know where the little speck of nothing came from and how it exploded. Also, the scientists say that it would have been nothing. How can nothing explode? Scientists have been trying to prove that evolution is true. Normally they just try to make it seem true by bending the facts. Bible stories have been proven to be true and are scientifically correct. Most evolution tests have failed and don't support the theory.
A question always can come up about evolution like this: how did everything prosper so well with so many explosions and crazy things going on to leave everything so perfect? The way that the theory is doesn't explain how everything got to be so perfect and have everything have it's own DNA code. Evolution says that everything came out of nothing. Life from non-life doesn't make much sense. If a tornado came through a town and took lots of metal and threw it into the air it wouldn't fall perfectly in place on a ground and make an airplane. That is what evolution says what happened to us. We wouldn't have any meaning to life. Life would not have a purpose and God knows everything that goes on. He even knows when a sparrow falls to the ground. He has a purpose for you even if you were born as an accident God intended it to happen. Everything that God does has a purpose.
The difference it makes whether we were created or evolved is seen by discussing creation, evolution, the difference of God or no God, the difference to which scientific facts support which theory most, and evolution is an unproven theory with no purpose. Creation has to do with God and that He created the universe in seven days and He created man to be ruler over all things. Man has a purpose. Evolution says that we were created by a big explosion from a tiny speck of nothing and over millions of years we evolved from nothing. God loves us and created us for a reason and evolution says that we have no purpose and with out God there would be no right or wrong, law and order, and there would be no purpose to life. Scientific facts don't prove the evolution theory as correct. Evolution is a theory and scientists have an extremely hard time proving it as a scientific fact. The Bible is always true and cannot be proven wrong. No one can explain how the speck got there and how/why it exploded. Evolution does not make much sense because you cannot get life from non-life and everything from nothing. Everything that God does has a reason. Nothing is an accident. The difference whether we were created or evolved is very different because if we were evolved then we would have no purpose and if we were created we would have a purpose and that purpose is to serve God.

The Center of the Gospel

10-9-11

The center of the Gospel is the cross. Because Jesus lives, we live.

Galations 2:20

The Christian life is a resurrected life. You don't get the resurrection with out the cross.

Galations 9:23

Every bit of our life is linked with God's plan. We are co-existent with Christ. We are seated with Christ in heaven (in spirit) on His right hand side. Heaven is a realm where we currently function. We are aliens to this earth. We are already seated with Christ on the throne with victory as we are fighting the devil here on Earth. We haven't been to heaven yet but the Word does give us glimpses of it. The cross is also the center of heaven as well. It is in the throne room. Even from Creation God knew his son was going to be crucified.

Genesis 22:: 7-8

God gave hints and rolled everything (sin) forward to the cross where Jesus (the Lamb of God) was crucified. In the Old Testament people offered offerings to God. They had to use perfect/un harmed animals. Jesus was perfect and he paid the ultimate price. "Look behold the Lamb of God who takes away all the sins of the earth." You can't get away from the cross. It is the center piece.

Revelations 5:6-14

You can't have an accurate picture of Christ with out the cross. The cross is forever at the center.

Like 24:17-20, 30-35

Not everything can be understood about scripture but only a dimension of our spirit can understand it. Love may not put all the piece together but it still can change our lives.

Luke 24: 36-40

The Lord will always keep the cross, scares, pain in the center. The cross is ALWAYS at the center of our lives and everything.

Hebrews 12:1-5

God wants us to have joy and God has us need to push through and die with Christ to get to the joy. Discipline is part of the cross life with the cross in the middle of it.

John 15

We experience the pruning of the Lord so we can be more fruitful, it should be an encouragement when you are connected to the fruit you bear. When you bear your fruit God will prune you. Prune = Discipline. Pruning is not punishment. He is just getting us ready for what is coming up. You are pruned because of the Word. The discipline is found in listening and receiving what the mouth of God says. When God talks to us everything disappears and the Word cuts off and corrects things in our lives. It prunes us. Sometimes there is pain. The negative aspect of pruning is sometimes we resist God's word when He touches us. Sometimes there is pain. We need to be yolked with God. You only get pain when you resist God's plan. The positive aspects of pruning is God has a sword pointing at you and asks you to come and die to yourself and change. Sometimes it hurt but God wants you to live the abundances of this life on Earth.

Romans 6:1-2

Grace doesn't cover your sin. You die to sin and Jesus saves you. Don't trash the wonderful thing called grace by saying it saves you. Jesus saves you. We must fear the Lord. He may be our Father but he still is God.

Hebrews 12:6-14

With out holiness no one will see the Lord. Pursue holiness. What is your position with Christ? Make sure your in a good position with Him. Then make sure you have good conduct. The holiness thing isn't entirely take care of. Somethings have been taken care of by the cross but we have to pursue it.

Hebrews 12:28-29

The fear of God isn't an Old-Testament thing. It is here and now. This grace says that we are to come and die. To put others in front of our selves. Die to yourself and pick up the cross. This is the Christian life. The consuming fire is to show God's grace. The fire consumes our enemies. (sin, things that don't have to do with Christ) Leave a fire to spread God's love.

Be dead to sin and live the life of Christ.

Laws and sin won't save you. Jesus saves you and sanctification. With a satisfying relationship with Christ, Jesus wants you to give fruit and have you die to yourself and take to heart Jesus' words and let him change you. Not to make life hard but for you to be free and prune you. You should surrender and don't resist it. Jesus is aiming for the things that are destructive and destroy them so you will be free.
